Do you want to be published?  Self-publishing is the way to go!  Indie publishing is making waves in the literary world.

It seems to me that the mainstream publishing houses produce the same books year after year.  Where’s the excitement of new voices, new ideas, new books?  I often wonder how readers continue to read each new book by James Patterson, John Grisham, Susan Grafton, Jackie Collins, and all those prolific writers with the same tired storyline.  And why do people rush to the bookstore to purchase the latest celebrity autobiography?  Don’t get me started on the memoirs of former alcoholics, drug addicts, sex addicts, abused and used children, fat teenagers, anorexics, and other individuals mired in their sad pasts.

Yes, there is a market for easy reading.

With indie publishing there is now a market for thought provoking literature by emerging creative and dedicated writers.  There are well written memoirs waiting to be read, poetry to fill the senses,  fiction to delight, entertain, and even thrill.  Yes, you can upload your book to Kindle, but don’t you want to feel the book in your hands?

Flamingo Publications is all about getting people published either a complete book or a short story in one of our journals.  The idea is to support, encourage, and promote writers.
